Co-op Chairman seeks youngsters to join Board

The Co-operative’s Chairman is looking for young people to join the Board to better understand teenagers and people in their early 20s.

Allan Leighton, the Chairman of The Co-operative, is seeking 16-25 year olds to join its youth board in an attempt to better understand customers of this age group.

Eight recruits are sought to “help shape the business” to “better meet their needs and the needs of their peer group moving forwards”.

Leighton continued: “It creates a win-win for us all.  The successful Young Members will develop skills and experiences that they can take forward into their future careers, whilst the Co-op gains direct access to the skills and insight of young consumers, who are digitally savvy and socially conscious.
