Lure of London gone for millenials

Less than one tenth of millennials want to work in London, according to a new survey.

The report, which was conducted by Lloyds Bank, also found that over half of millennials would move anywhere for the right job, however 35% admitted that they do not want to move away from home.

Surprisingly, location ranked just seventh on the list of factors that would attract potential candidates to a role, showing a decrease in the lure of working in the capital.

It seem the most important factor in deciding where to work is salary at 49%, followed by flexible hours at 35% and career development opportunities, also at 35%. And while almost half (46%) of millennials said they would rather work for a large business, SMEs can take heart from the fact that a staggering 41% claimed they would rather work at a small firm.
