Today, Chipotle will be recruiting 4,000 people.
The recruitment drive will expand their workforce by approximately 6.7%. It will also fill up the company’s talent pipeline; 95% of their managers are promoted from within.
Speaking to Executive Grapevine, Chris Arnold, Communications Director of Chipotle, says the right people will be hired based on attitude, not academia: “Our managers will focus on identifying candidates … [with] traits that we feel are inherent to top-performing individuals, such as conscientiousness, respect, hospitality and happiness.”
“Our belief is that top performing people, who ultimately have the ability to become future leaders, and will be positioned for long-term success, will possess these traits.
