Boss accused of hiring private investigator to harass 'Nazi' ex-employee

A businessman has been accused of hiring a Private Investigator (PI) to “harass” and “intimidate” an employee who he believed to be a Nazi sympathiser.

Mia Nelson, the employee in question, was dismissed by her boss Tony Katavich, owner of publishing company Haldeman, in June 2012.

She was accused of holding Nazi views after she created the email account ‘[email protected]’ and the used password ‘ilovehitler’ for work purposes.  Prior to this, Katavich had demoted Nelson and stripped her office of everything bar a desk (which he positioned in the “dunce corner), chair, telephone, and laptop.

Nelson says this happened because she attended a colleague’s barbeque after work and didn’t notify him: “I felt absolutely humiliated. I'd only just moved [there] and now my office was a cell."
