Albemarle Corporation appoint VP Global Total Rewards

Albemarle Corporation has hired a VP Global Total Rewards.

Martin Ratelband joins from B/E Aerospace, where he was Director Global Total Rewards for four years.

He has previously worked for Amway as Manager, Global Compensation from July 2007 to August 2011; for RTI International as VP, Compensation and HR Information Services from March 2004 to May 2007; for Hay Group as a Senior Management Consultant, a Practice Leader, and then a Director from December 1992 to March 2002; and as a VP HR (amongst other) for the Dutch Department of Defence from January 1983 to December 1992.

Speaking to HR Grapevine, Ratelband said: “I’m very excited to join Albemarle Corporation as their VP Global Total Rewards. They are a leading specialty chemicals company that serves customers in approximately 100 countries with value added products, including lithium, bromine, catalysts and other products.
