Manager jailed after stealing £20,000 of staff holiday pay

A former manager has been sent to prison after stealing holiday pay from over 40 members of staff.

Lisa Philips, who worked at Spring Recruitment, diverted money from her colleagues account into hers, and then altered the records to hide her tracks.

Philips was caught whilst on maternity leave. An employee complained about being owed £3,500 of holiday pay. An audit from another manager uncovered illicit payments totalling £19,505. She made 52 transfers from 41 workers.

She admitted a charge of fraud between January 2009 and August 2013.
