Scandal hit legislators slated for 'conservative' intern dress code proposal

A clothing brand in America has released a series of satirical t-shirts after Missouri courts attempted to pass an “intern dress code”.

The move came after two high ranking politicians, Missouri House Speaker John Diehl and State Senator Paul LeVota, resigned following allegations of unseemly relations with interns at the courthouse.

In response, Missouri lawmakers attempted to pass a victim-blaming bill, making all interns abide by a strict conservative dress-code in order to “remove distractions”. The proposition did not pass, however retailer Raygun found a way to protest the idea. They created shirts detailing creating the hypocrisy of forcing interns change their behaviour so politicians can act “professionally.”

The shirt reads: “This is my Not Wanting Sexual Attention From Missouri State Legislators shirt”. A spokesperson for Raygun explained their new product, saying: “If ladies working in government don't want sexual attention from elected officials, they need to really spell it out.”
