Chipotle announce plans to hire 4,000 new workers in one day

Chipotle is going on a hiring spree as it plans to hire 4,000 new workers in one day.

The Mexican restaurant is hoping to mass hire on September 9th and boost their workforce by approximately 6.7%. 

In a bid to lure applicants, Chipotle is advertising the rapid move up rate at the company. Roughly 95% of the managers are promoted from within, and 10,000 entry-level workers were hired in to managerial positions over the past year.

Chris Arnold is the company spokesperson and said the average time from entry level to General Manager is 20 months. "When we hire crew, we look to identify individuals that we think have the motivation and the capability to move into management or leadership positions."
