Productivity is the buzzword of the summer, with various articles espousing the positive links between remote working and an increase in productivity.
Research by Condeco Software said that 75% of the workforce will be millennials by 2025, and it is the employee’s responsibility to adapt the workplace to them.
Speaking to HR Grapevine, Chris Jenkins, Workplace Director at Peldon Rose, agrees, and says that failure to invest and embrace now will only widen the gap in the future: “Progressive forward-thinking companies will have the cream of the crop when it comes to talent and they will have an easier task in retaining that talent.
“Gen Y is changing the face of the workplace as they demand freedom to work at any time, on multiple devices and at a place they choose. They are all about freedom of expression, the virtual environment and the fusion of the work life balance.
