Store staff celebrate 10,000th shoplifter with cake, champagne and a band

Staff at a retail chain celebrated their 10,000 shoplifter with a marching band, cake and party hats.

While some stores choose to prosecute every shoplifter, a video has surfaced of a Dutch Hema store where the staff treated a shoplifter rather differently.

The video begins by showing a manager watching a woman in a pink jacket via a security camera. When the guard sees her tuck a product inside her jacket, the staff spring into action. The camera follows the security team as they run down the stairs.
