Close gender pay gap with 'open salary policies'

Companies should look to adopt open salary policies within the workplace, according to Retail Human Resources.

The recruitment company specialising in the retail sector believes implementing this strategy will help to close the UK gender pay gap.

Peter Burgess is the Director at Retail Human Resources. Having overseen an open policy for over twenty years, he believes that it “builds trust and respect, and ensures that people are not, unwittingly, treated unfairly.”

With David Cameron suggesting to tackle it by auditing firms, it appears to be an issue that is finally coming to light.
