A pilot and three crew members on a Greece-bound airBaltic flight failed a breathalyser test, Norwegian police have said.
"We got a tip that we should make a routine check and chose to do so. The alcohol test showed above 0.2 promiles, and was taken inside the plane," said Romerike Police District Operations Officer Thorleif Skovereng. Police received an anonymous tip off at 2am GMT (4am local time).
The Pilot, Co-Pilot, and two Stewardesses were taken into police custody and escorted to hospital for blood tests to confirm the breathalyser results. If found guilty, the quartet could face up to two years in prison.
