Seven of the 50 biggest leasing companies in the UK (the FN50) will be exhibiting at Fleet News’s major new event, Fleet Management Live, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham 6-7 October 2015.
LeasePlan, ALD Automotive, Zenith, Pendragon Vehicle Management, Venson Automotive Solutions, TCH Leasing and Motiva Group have all signed up the two-day event, which is aimed at company car decision-makers – whether they be traditional fleet operators or procurement, finance, HR, travel and facilities professionals who also have fleet responsibilities.
The event offers a host of networking opportunities, as well as best practice workshops, seminars, and advice clinics to keep company car decision-makers up to date with the latest developments in fleet and to help them tackle their fleet challenges.
The UK’s second biggest leasing company, LeasePlan, will be sponsoring the Fleet Insight Theatre, where sessions will be held for HR, finance, travel and facilities managers, covering key topics such as salary sacrifice for cars, company car tax and grey fleet (employees using private vehicles for business journeys).
Lesley Slater, business development director at LeasePlan, said: “LeasePlan is delighted to be involved with the inaugural Fleet Management Live, particularly with such a broad audience expected to be in attendance.
“We’re really keen to support those groups of people who increasingly play an important role in fleet, alongside the traditional fleet managers – namely HR, finance and procurement specialists. Being able to talk to them at the Fleet Insight Theatre and offer some really practical advice is sure to be beneficial for all.”
Top 10 FN50 companies ALD Automotive and Zenith will each be holding best practice workshops at Fleet Management Live. ALD will offer advice on telematics systems and how they can improve driver safety and save the company money, while Zenith will show companies how to choose the right funding method for their company cars.
In the exhibition hall, company car decision-makers can meet with other major leasing companies and new entrants to the market, such as Multileasing Contracts. Pendragon Vehicle Management, Venson Automotive Solutions, TCH Leasing and Motiva Group will all be showcasing their new technology platforms. Motiva Group will also be doing live demonstrations of its risk management programme and its telematics system, Motrack.
Commenting on the decision to sign up to Fleet Management Live, Neal Francis, divisional managing director at Pendragon Vehicle Management, said: “Fleet Management Live 2015 is a great opportunity to meet other key industry bodies, and having recently launched a refreshed identity and technology, the event acts a fantastic platform from which to introduce our new assets, face-to-face to the fleet management community.”
He added: “Fleet managers should attend the event to be the first to hear about the latest advancement in fleet management solutions, have their questions answered by experts in the field and discuss the current issues in the industry today.”
Stephen Briers, editor-in-chief of Fleet News, said: “Fleet Management Live gives fleet decision-makers a rare opportunity to meet representatives from a wide variety of leasing companies - all on the same day. If you are due to tender your contract hire or leasing agreement soon then the event will be a great time-saver, helping you to find out face-to-face what major leasing companies and smaller players have to offer.”
