Employers increasingly have to be aware of the potential damage that can be done by staff online, either through their own posts or those of disgruntled customers. More importantly, they have to be aware of the appropriate consequences when their employees do misbehave online.
Whilst posting a picture of your dinner may not cause raised eyebrows, there are definite cases of 'over-sharing' that can hurt the company’s brand. Furthermore staff must be increasingly considerate of their actions in front of customers. A five second video shot on a phone can do just as much to damage to a brand as a misguided tweet.
