The CEO and Co-Founder of a Turkish food delivery company has paid out over £17million to 114 employees.
Yemeksepeti was sold to German-based Delivery Hero for £378million in May. Workers at the company will receive a bonus of around £152,000, nearly 150 times the average wage.
The amount each employee will receive has been determined by their length of service, contribution to the company’s success and the impact they will have on its future.
Speaking to Turkish newspaper Hurriet, Nevzat Aydin joked that he had set a ‘bad example’ to other bosses: “We did this because if there is a success, we have accomplished it altogether. There were emotions, because you affect the lives of the people.
