Twitter loses 12% of workforce as CEO search remains fruitless

Twitter has seen more than 450 staff leave in the past year, as the hunt for a new CEO continues, according to new Financial Times.

The Financial Times analysis of LinkedIn profiles of Twitter staff suggests that 12% of staff have left in the last year. This staff exodus spans across all levels, including senior staff in corporate development and partnerships.  

The Financial Times says that the actual figure is probably higher, as not every employee is on LinkedIn, nor does every employee keep their LinkedIn account up to date.

Robert Peck, an Analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphreys, said: “While some key talent may leave the company while it is in flux, it may be difficult to hire new key talent without a permanent CEO in place.”
