Staff lose a day of holiday worrying about work

British workers will lose one day of their holidays worrying about work, according to new research.

A new report by car hire company Auto Europe has found that employees will think about their job for an average of 41 minutes per day on holiday. That equates to one out of every ten days’ vacation.

With almost one in five (19%) of respondents thinking that they will lose their position due to their break, we spoke to Rui Alves, Digital Marketing Manager for Auto Europe UK, to ask what can be done to prevent staff from becoming anxious whilst on annual leave.

"No matter how stressful or hard your job is, every now and then you need a break from it all, “claims Alves. “Spending your much-deserved holiday worrying about what awaits you when you return is a waste of time and energy. All employees need to think about when they're away is living in the moment and enjoying every second of their break.
