Women urged to demand higher salaries in the digital sector

Women must demand better pay in order to fix the gender salary gap in the digital sector, a new study suggests.

While more women have entered the sector, men still ask for 17% higher salaries according to The Candidate’s latest survey.

The digital recruitment agency has released its Women in Digital survey. It reveals that men in the sector on average earn nine per cent more than their female peers.

The gap is lower than the 9.4% national average gap. However, men earn 80% of the top salaries in the digital sector.
