Here’s an insightful point from the book. When discussing the tendency to overlook indirect costs when calculating the ROI on training, Jack commented on page 290:
“Today there is more pressure than ever before to report all programme costs, or what is referred as fully loaded costs. This takes the cost profile beyond the direct cost of a program and includes the time participants spend being involved in the program, based on their pay, benefits and other overhead. For years, management has realised that many indirect costs exist. Now they are asking for an accounting of these costs.”
