How graduates are wearing CVs on their fingers

Signs on roundabouts, flyering CVs at train stations and auctioning on eBay are just some of the creative ways candidates have used to secure work in the last few years.

But now graduates have found a new way to wear their CVs. University crest signet rings have become increasingly fashionable, with many also including details such as degree grade, college crest and years of study.

The rings have been commonplace in the US for decades but now they are steadily becoming more popular in the UK. 50 universities in the country have signet rings made and The Telegraph states that they are being sold in the thousands.

“A lot of students buy rings at their university graduation ceremonies, but some come back a few years later when they’re feeling nostalgic, or have a job,” Maria Jewsbury told The Telegraph. She is working at Eva & Eva London, who produce university rings.
