Richard Branson's work-life philosophy revealed

“Work-life balance is an increasingly hot topic; driving wellbeing in the workplace to the top of company agendas,” claims Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Group.

In a blog style post on Virgin Australia’s Travel webpage, Branson offers his top tips for achieving a happy medium between personal and professional lives.

“As technology advances at a rapid rate, the world is becoming more and more connected,” he claims, “making many people available by phone or email, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. While initiatives like flexible working are helping to reduce the stresses caused by hyper-connectivity, unfortunately burn out is still a very real thing.”

So how can you achieve a healthy work-life balance? Branson claims the key to happiness is simply “to be”.
