Mondelez VP: Overhaul recruitment practices to compete with Facebook

Traditional brands must overhaul their recruitment practises if they are to beat Apple, Facebook, Google, or Twitter.

Bonin Bough, Vice President and Chief Media and E-Commerce Officer of Mondelez, was speaking with Tubemogul Founder Brett Wilson at Cannes Lions Festival: “There is a drain on our industry in terms of talent, and the fact our partners like our agencies are having a tough time retaining talent, and the fact we are losing talent every single day. So what is the future of talent? How are we as an industry going to reinvigorate talent to come and work for us?”

Companies need to ask themselves ‘How do we reskill?’, according to Bough.

They also need to reassess their focus, so that employees develop throughout their time with the company, however short that time may be.
