King's College to hire women over men

King’s College will offer roles to women before their male peers of equal capability in a bid to reduce gender pay gap and increase diversity levels.

The prestigious King’s College is one of the world's leading research and teaching universities based in London.

In documentation on King’s website, it says: “The most equitable way of reducing the gender pay gap is to increase the number of qualified women in roles with higher levels of responsibility through both external recruitment and internal promotion.”

The university says it is important that they take proactive steps.  As such, they will “continue the wide range of activities designed to encourage and support women at King's.”
