A J Crew Vice President has been fired after “mocking” staff on Instagram just hours after 175 members were made redundant.
Alejandro Rhett, VP of the company’s menswear department, had delivered the news personally to several staff.
He later posed for photos, which have since been deleted, alongside friends at a nearby bar using the hashtags #hungergames and #maytheoddsbeeverinyourfavour.
The tags were in reference to the popular Hunger Games book and film franchise where children and teenagers are forced to fight for the death.
