In the quest to discover and secure top talent, Midas Media, a digital marketing company is offering £1,000 to job candidates who reach the final interview for a new role within the firm.
In a period where the demand for candidates exceeds availability, the savvy company boss believes it is more beneficial to pay quality candidates directly, than pay recruitment fees, report the Leicester Mercury.
Ed Leake will pay for five candidates who make it through to the final interview stage. He says the idea was inspired by an American firm who offered a similar opportunity to job applicants.
"We are looking for a quality person for the role. I would not work for free so I don't expect anyone else to either.”
