The battle for the best employee benefits package is on, and it seems Chipotle Mexican Grill is the latest company to throw their hat into the ring.
The American restaurant chain has recently announced that they plan to offer paid sick leave, full holidays and even reimbursement for tuition to both full time and hourly workers, commencing on July 1st.
Known globally for their use of ethically sourced meat, the fast food chain is now set on turning their principled eye to employee attraction and retention. JD Cummings, Recruitment Strategy Manager for Chipotle, explains: “We’re going to say that we take the same care in sourcing the employees that work in our restaurants and company as we do in going out and finding ingredients to serve in our restaurants.”
The move comes as other global giants, such as Starbucks and Boxed, are offering competitive packages for employees, ranging from fully funded college tuition fees to implementing achievement plans for career progression.
