Social media is big business. With more and more companies choosing to utilize online platforms for everything from recruitment drives to onboarding techniques, LinkedIn and Facebook are new found essentials in any marketing toolkit.

So what can Learning and Development departments derive from the world of apps and Twitter feeds?

Speaking to HR Grapevine, Colin Lucas-Mudd, CEO of Scredible, had this to say: “With an ever increasing volume of communication happening over social channels, there is a real opportunity for organisations to move away from traditional and typically out of date, standardised learning and development methods.

"All companies now recognize the need to keep up with rapidly changing markets and technologies, so it makes sense to look to social media to keep the business, and its employees, up to date with rapidly changing trends.”
