Walmart has announced it plans to recruit 250,000 US ex-military veterans by 2020.
One of America’s largest employers, Walmart is increasing its 2013 plan of hiring 100,000 veterans by 2018 as part of its hugely successful ‘Veterans Welcome Home Commitment’ programme.
The programme guarantees to offer a job to any eligible US veteran that has been honourably discharged from active duty.
Speaking on ‘Your World’, retired Marine Nate Waits reveals that he began working at Walmart in 2014 as he wanted to work for a company that not only gave veterans meaningful jobs, but actively sought them out too.
