
46% of employees aged 21-30 are concerned about the impact an ageing workforce will have on their career paths, according to research from Canada Life Group Insurance.
The survey revealed that almost two thirds of employees expect to work beyond the age of 65, following the growing trend of employees staying in the workplace longer.
With 20% of employee’s believing that this new development will dramatically change the work dynamic, the research also raised questions on potential health issues, the costs of retraining and staff incentives paid to encourage elderly employees to retire.
