
McDonald’s has come under fire for their presiding “dinosaur” culture just as thousands of workers and union members vote to strike on low wages.
Steve Easterbrook, McDonald’s newly appointed British born CEO, has promised to rebrand the fast food giant, acting as an “internal activist” to create a “modern and progressive” chain. However, findings from The Guardian’s recent analysis of public records suggest that Eaterbrooks first challenge may well lie with the board members themselves.
According to the findings, ten of McDonald’s 13 non-executive directors are from the Chicago business community, eight of which had a direct affiliation with another board member before they joined.
