Ex-American Apparel CEO could face dossier of complaints in court

A dossier of complaints detailing employee grievances regarding former American Apparel Inc CEO, Dov Charney, may be used in a legal fight against its founder.

The retailer has amassed e-mails, videos, and audio recordings documenting complaints by employees who worked under Charney, who is currently suing the company for conspiring to oust him last year.

According to internal documents obtained by Bloomberg News, one such e-mail to the HR department in 2013 states that he threw a medicine bottle at an employee. Another e-mail from a female worker claimed that he called her a “slut” and a “whore”. One employee wrote “I’m afraid to return to work and face further abuse,” in a resignation letter.
