Many politicians have been doing more to engage young people, whether that’s through an interview with Russell Brand or the Conservative’s Five Point Guarantee. We all know that young people are the future of our workforce, and yet the reality is the number of NEETs is still far too high. With each party recognising digital as a driving force in our economic recovery, this is the perfect environment for young people to climb that all-important first rung on the career ladder. After all, as the first generation to have grown up with the internet, they have the natural digital skills at their fingertips which businesses in every sector are crying out for.
