Women still earn less than men in London's financial sector

Women are still earning significantly less than their male counterparts in the City, new ressearch has revealed.

The Women in Financial Institutions index, conducted by BRUIN Financial, has investigated beyond the high-profile bankers and instead looked at ‘back-office’ staff within London’s financial sector.

Examining the pay and rewards of the 300,000 ‘back-office’ staff, the research found that a female employee’s average salary was £54,000, while a male employee received £61,000.
