Innovation and people focus key to attraction in tourism industry, Korn Ferry survey reveals

A radical approach to business and unconventional culture are the most attractive traits for travel, tourism and hospitality staff rank, according to a new study.

The study conducted by Korn Ferry, consisted of 1,036 participants across 15 major companies in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry, including Hilton and Virgin Holidays, and looked at the most favoured employer traits by workers, in terms of structure, size, approach, culture and pace.

The results showed that employees’ preferred organisation was one with an innovative reputation and ground-breaking products, while companies focused primarily on profits and ‘empire’ building were considered undesirable.
