Are '#GenMobile' employees in danger of leaking data?

An increase in productivity and innovation are just two of the benefits that come attached to a mobile workforce, but does this come at a price?

A new report has shed light on the risks that a mobile workforce generates. The alteration of traditional working hours in favour of flexible working structures provides both employee and business with more freedom, but with 22% of employees saying they do not have security measures in place on their mobile devices so they can share more easily, maybe it is time for businesses to implement more stringent security measures.

The study by Aruba Networks, Securing #GenMobile: Is Your Business Running the Risk?, questioned over 23,000 workers from 23 countries. 87% of employees assumed that their IT departments would keep them protected, and 31% have lost data due to misuse of a mobile device. Male employees are 20% likelier to lose work data than their female colleagues.
