Average worker unproductive 72 days a year due to a lack of sleep

Lack of concentration, snapping at colleagues and forgetfulness. These are just a few symptoms UK adults suffer after a bad night’s sleep.

A poll issued by mattress company, Sleeping Duck, has revealed that 53% of adults in the UK wake up in a bad mood due to a poor night’s sleep resulting in the average worker having 6 days a month, or 72 days a year, where they feel they are unproductive.

The results found that 6 in 10, of the 2,000 UK adults asked, stated that lack of sleep gave them a more negative attitude. The main reasons included going to bed too late (43%), late night stress or anger (41%), and disruption of sleep due to a partner’s sleeping pattern (32%).
