Tesco staff told to get fit by dancing in the aisles

Tesco staff have been told to get fit by dancing in the aisles or running on the spot in a memo on the company’s staff website from new boss, Dave Lewis.

The supermarket chain has suggested various ways that staff can meet the recommended daily target of 10,000 steps per day, including regular trips to the watercooler and holding walking meetings.

The memo read: “Dancing can be an excellent way of keeping fit – it’s great fun and anyone can do it. And there are so many different types, there’s bound to be a style out there for you!
