
Part-time employment for teenagers impacts negatively on their school work and exam results, a study claims.
The new research into youth employment by the Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of Essex has suggested that teenagers who work a Saturday job could be risking their GCSE grades.
The investigation, entitled Youth Employment and Academic Performance: Production Function and Policy Effects, has placed doubt on the benefits that working and studying has on young people.
