
From an elaborate tale of a completed ascent up Mount Kilimanjaro by a candidate who was too ill to complete A-levels to a false job to cover up a jail stint, some of the most audacious CV lies have been revealed.
The research from Risk Advisory Group analysed 3,000 CVs, found 63% of CVs diverge from the truth.
25 to 32 year olds - ‘Generation Y’ – are the worst offenders, with 35% of inconsistencies emerging from this age group, including an intern who claimed to be a senior analyst and bogus degrees from India, Pakistan, and the UAE.
