London Taxi Company to create 1,000 jobs at new Coventry plant

One thousand jobs will be created after plans to build a £250m taxi plant outside Coventry were revealed by the owner of the London Taxi Company (LTC), which makes the iconic black cab.

Chinese manufacturer, Geely, stated that research and development and an assembly plant to construct the next generation of electric and low-emission vehicles would be included in the new factory.

For 70 years the firm has been based in Coventry but in January it announced plans to move from its plant in Holyhead Road to Ansty Park.
