Coca-Cola's Jane Gilmour discusses life as a female CTO

Tech is often seen as a male dominated and insular world, a reputation that the recently released diversity figures at Google, Facebook and Twitter did little to change.

So, what is life like for a woman at the top of the tech tree? Jane Gilmour, CTO for Coca-Cola International, attempted to shed light on this when the question was posted on Q&A website Quora. Her response made interesting reading:

"A completely subjective answer here as I've never been a male CTO. :)  From personal perspective I've found that engineers/technologists don't really mind if you are purple with feathers so long as you know your stuff. Business leaders are more concerned with the value you can deliver than gender.
