The social network has made its debut on Fortune’s list of Best Companies to Work For this year.
Unsurprisingly, Google topped the list for the fourth consecutive year while new entrant Twitter came 24th in the rankings of 100 companies.
Software company Workday (22nd) and Nationwide Insurance (95th) also made the list for the first time this year. Meanwhile, social network rival Facebook didn’t feature.
Twitter scored 98% on great pride and was also recognised for a number of perks offered to employees. These include the chance to meet A-Listers that visit for advice on using the social network and ‘#FridayForGood’ - a global day of service where employees volunteer anywhere from homeless shelters to lower-income schools.
The San Francisco offices were also applauded. They include a rooftop deck, a free CrossFit gym (which CEO Dick Costolo regularly uses) and ‘The Lodge’ – a communal log cabin which serves beer, wine, coffee and fermented tea.
