Nigel Farage: Mothers returning to work after childbirth will inevitably earn less

Nigel Farage, during a surprise appearance on ITV’s ‘Loose Women,’ expressed his views on Mothers returning to the workplace, stating it’s difficult to change the “fact of life” that women will earn less than men when they return to some jobs after childbirth.

The UKIP leader, who previously suggested that women should “perhaps sit in the corner” when they breastfeed, was surprisingly welcomed by the loose women panel and the audience, as they discussed politics, public life, his family and how many hours he spends down the pub.

Farage was then asked about his views on mothers returning to the workplace, after an earlier comment about a woman working in the City with a client base, who was “worth far less to her employer when she comes back” after two or three years off after childbirth.
