
British Airways has denied paying its staff £1million in compensation over the alleged use of private investigators it has been revealed.
In a series of legal disputes the airline has been accused of sanctioning investigators to spy on ten members of staff during 2011.
At the time, the airline faced industrial action supported by the workers union Unite and it is now alleged that the compensation was paid in an attempt to stop Unite from suing the firm and risking any further details being leaked in court.
