
23% of the adult working population in the UK want to retrain before starting a new job, new research has revealed.
This is despite the average cost of retraining being an estimated £8,500. However, 14% of the respondents believe that taking new courses would cost them no money at all.
The research conducted by the finance specialists Pay4Later found that around 22% of those who wanted to go back into education or training were in the healthcare sector, and 18% worked in education. Those in the financial services and the leisure industry were not far behind, with 12% and eight per cent saying they wanted to retrain, respectively.
