
The Church of England has been criticised and accused of hypocrisy after it demanded employers pay staff at least the living wage whilst paying its own staff less than that amount.
The Living Wage currently stands at £7.85 an hour outside London and is calculated from the basic cost of UK life.
However, it came to light that one Church job is being advertised at £6.50 an hour, prompting MPs to question whether leaders of the faith are practicing what they preach.
