Apple releases designs for 'futuristic' headquarters

Plans have emerged about the design of Apple’s Campus 2 in Cupertino, which is set to resemble a circular ‘doughnut’ shape.

The curved-glass structure will contain an underground parking lot, leaving room for 6,000 indigenous trees, including apple, cherry, plum, apricot and persimmon.

The new HQ will also hold a private auditorium for keynotes and product launches, provide employees a 360-degree view of nature and will be powered by renewable energy.
