Nut-rage Korean Air executive jailed for a year over rant

An executive at a Korean air firm has been jailed after ordering the captain to return the plane to it's gate when a steward served her a nut in a plastic basket, rather than on a plate.

Cho Hyun-ah, also known as Heather Cho, was found guilty of breaking aviation law after making an unauthorised demand on a Korean Air flight from New York to Seoul for the plane to return to the gate.

The incident happened as the plane was backing away from the gate in preparation for take-off.
