10% of Irish LGBT people quit their job because of discrimination

One in ten lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual employees in Ireland have left their place of work due to discrimination.

In addition, 30% of LGBT employees in Ireland are harassed at work, according to research by the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network (GLEN).

The research also found that employees who were open about their sexuality at work were more committed to their employer and reported a better working relationship with colleagues, compared with employees who were not.
