What have been the highlights in your career journey that have enabled you to sit where you are today?
The key theme has been around taking every opportunity to learn and to improve. In terms of academic and professional study, I’ve benefited hugely from completing my Phd, from gaining my executive Coaching accreditation and then from completing an internal “mini MBA” offered by Santander. Each of these has given me vital insights and really challenged me to think about how I go about my role and the value that I add to an organisation. My career path, latterly at CIPD and now at Santander, has also put me in roles where I have had accountability for putting in place new and innovative products and processes. Having the remit and support to build something from nothing has been really key to where I am and who I am today.
